Roasted Duck

Roasted Duck with Roasted Potatoes and Sauteed Vegetables

As promised in last week’s post, here is the recipe for the roasted duck. I pretty much use this recipe whenever I make duck but with a few variations to the spices. To be clear, this is not a Peking duck recipe. It’s a simple roast duck recipe that I think is great for special occasions and holidays.

Interesting Veggies

Crawfish Boil

Cooked Crawfish Ready to Be Eaten

One day in early May I saw that Kitchen Surfing was organizing a mid-week Crab Boil for the Kitchen Surfing Meetup Group that would be prepared by Nick Suarez and Theo Peck of The Food Experiments National Tour. It was only $15 for a bunch of crawfish and sides so I decided to give it a shot and signed up to attend the event.

Food Photography Workshop

Food Photography Workshop - Roast Duck & Vegetables

Attendees were separated into two groups of about eight and took turns using hot lights and strobes on five plated dishes.
