I was going through a folder of photos I’d transferred from my camera and found some photos from 2014 that I never got around to posting. These photos are from my visit to the 2014 New York Auto Show which was held at the Jacob Javits Center. The 2015 car show starts next week but I don’t think I’ll be able to attend.
The Manhattan Chamber of Commerce (MCC) is a non-profit organization that provides a variety of business development resources for NYC based businesses and professionals. There are a few groups within MCC that are focused on specific interests/industries. I’m a member of the MCC and regularly attend the Young Professionals group’s events. Last week the MCCYP’s summer networking event was held at Southern Hospitality and I took a few pictures during the event.
I hadn’t visited Coney Island since junior high school but a few summers back one of my photography groups made plans to visit Coney Island to take pictures at the annual Mermaid Parade. Although, I was born and raised in Brooklyn I’d never heard of the Mermaid Parade but I was told that that there was a car show and decided to tag along.
I had a great time at the 2011 car show and seeing photos from the 2012 Geneva show got me really excited about the 2012 New York International Auto Show. I attended the show on Friday 04/03 and had a good time taking photos.
I live in New York City and as a typical New Yorker, I don’t drive very often (it’s been about five years). However, I do like cars (if only to look at them) and try to attend the annual New York International Auto Show that is held at the Jacob Javits Center. I see the event as a few hours to live vicariously and primarily seek out vehicles that are fast, well designed, and/or technologically advanced.
